Communicating Patient information is considered a priority at Yeovil District Hospital, a 360 bed acute Hospital in Somerset. In a recent review of Infection control, the Trust made the decision that all notice boards should be covered to aid cleaning. Ned Binding, Deputy Director of Facilities asked Premier Concepts if the current open board design supplied since 2001 could be modified to meet this new brief.

The opportunity was taken to assess if the current information boards were still in the most useful positions, and due to recent department changes in the Hospital it was agreed to relocate two of the five boards supplied to new locations where patients and visitors could access the information put on them by the Trust more readily.  To address the Trusts concerns over infection control, the new boards were supplied with lockable cabinets covering the pin board areas. The lockable pin board cabinets have the additional benefit of giving the Trust complete control over the material displayed.
